We've seen a couple of band saws referenced here and there with a Frank E Jones name plate affixed. I did an online search for as many examples as I could find to fill out our knowledge base somewhat.
This band saw was spotted for sale on Craigslist (in January of 2016). The post had this description: "Super nice Frankie Jones 24 inch bandsaw has a blade length of 13 foot 6 inches. 260 volt 3 phaze power. 3 hp motor" (Note - we have also found samples of this saw model with a 2 HP motor).
The saw appears to be the same machine which had been listed for sale on the auction site of "Public Surplus", dating to April 2012. See http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/auction/view?auc=704445. That saw was located at the Seattle Community College - Wood Construction Center, in Seattle, Washington. We also have photos of the saw from that listing up here. See the Frank E. Jones photo entry number 25125.
True manufacturer of these saws is not known. Some OWWM and VM members have suggested that it may have been Rodgers Machinery Manufacturing Co. (aka Rodgers Production Machinery) also of Los Angeles. Note the last photo, below, which appears to show that "Frank E Jones Machinery Corp, Los Angeles" was cast into the upper frame.
