This bandsaw was the property of the Van Slett Sign Co. in Worcester, MA. Not much is known of it's history but it was saved along with other machinery. The upper wheel on this machine has a crack and a primative mend. If anyone knows of a replacement wheel available, please contact me. The machine will be used in the workshop of the American Diner Museum as soon as a replacement wheel is located. very heavy bandsaw, the rigger estimated it at about 1800-2000 pds.. The blade guard was made by Francis Van Slett and there is an upper section not shown here.
