Comments:
Picked this up for $15 from an old auto mechanic. It was missing the left guard and cover, the right cover, and tool rests. It looked pretty awful, but ran very quietly and smoothly. I disassembled, cleaned, replace the bearings, reassembled, primed, and painted. I had a heck of a time removing and reinstalling the bearing retaining sleeves. I also had to fabricate a spacer and end cap for the left side that was missing the guard, which normally serves those purposes. The switch was intermittent, so I disassembled it, cleaned thoroughly, and reassembled. Good as new. The cord & plug looked original and was horrible, so it got replaced, too. I like this grinder a lot. It's very heavy and runs smoothly and quietly.
