A frind of mine was ill and asked me to rebuild it for him.It would not raise/lower.I complety dissembled it and had to have some beveled gears made.Reassembled/installed new bearings in cutter head installed a larger 7 1/2 hp motor I have the 3 hp that came on it.It was blue(spot left under the motor) repainted gray. The knife grinder is missing.The owner of my co.has been in the bussness 30 years and told my he had never seen a planer made by Solem.It is made of very heavy cast.
