I just picked up a 16" Crescent jointer. It's really in pretty good shape, just needs to be cleaned up and get some fresh paint. The serial # is CA1461, and is located on a red tag, on the back, towards the outfeed side of the machine. It is the same style tag that was on the registry webpage, the one from CA698. I haven't searched the cutterhead for any patent numbers or anything, but if I find anything else, I'll let you know.
I'm going to restore this thing [right now it is completely taken apart], but the aluminum plate on the front is all beat up, painted over, and scratched up - is there any place I can get a new one? Or maybe a close up pic of one so I could try and repaint it to match? If you have any questions, or want me to look for something else, just let me know. Thanks for all the info!
