These are photos of my Parks planer that I acquired in July 2001. It is pretty much original. I have replaced the pressure bar and one outfeed roller bushing but apart from that it is as I obtained it. I know some or most of its history as I have met 3 of its previous owners spanning the period from the 1940's to the present. It was owned by a fellow (Ray) who ran a cabinet making shop in the 1940's in Winnipeg and sold to 2 brothers (Steve and Mike) who were homebuilders in the 1950's. They used it in their shop building cabinets and windows for homes until some time in the late 1960's or 1970's. It was then that the pressure bar was broken because the knives were not properly tightened after having them out for sharpening. It was sold to another fellow (Frank) who did custom wood working for a furniture store. He put it into storage in about 1995. Steve told me about it and I met Frank and talked him into selling it to me. It took another 6 months after he agreed to sell it to actually get it. I then obtained the pressure bar from D C Morrison Company in Kentucky. It had been used without it for about 20 years.
