Acquired in May of 2011. The direct drive motor has been replaced with a newer belt driven motor as I am certain there was no other option. I'm uncertain of the age of the machine but would guess at shortly after the war and 1950? Be nice to know. Heavy machine at 300+ pounds and some newly fabricated pieces, guards have been added etc. The serial number 516595 has been recorded from the angle vernier beneath the table. The motor was long gone so fortunately there was a number on the vernier scale plate. The number does not look like any other number listed on this site so who knows when this may have been manufactured? Additionally, there is one piece of plate steel that must have been added at a later date near the throat as I do not see any other machine with this feature. I was always "troubled' by the table being plate steel but apparently that is original.
