Seen on kijiji: this electric motor is from a maker not previously known. Turns out that National Refining Co., Ltd. of Toronto was a maker and reseller of dental supplies. Among their products they made were electric motors and dental lathes. I suspect that this was actually built as a dental lathe, which is really a polisher used in sharpening dental tools.
