I traded installation of new equipment in a Vancouver, BC, Canada, printing plate preparation company for this antique table saw in 1968. It was running with a antique belt system and I replaced that with a 120/230 volt new motor. It comes with an assortment of newer used blades and blades used when it was in operation in the business. I was told, the firm purchased it new in 1895. It has been repainted but the new paint comes off fairly easily, showing the original pin stripping and CABINET saw in large letters at the top of the cabinet. It has a saw dust collection drawer and a storage door, both open from the front. I placed the saw on a wheeled mount. It has both the "T" pusher and the side guide, with a rotating holder of a clear material that rotates over the saw blade for protection. This was used to cut the cherry wood blocks that letter press etching were mounted on. It is very precise and the blade cuts vertically only. It has babbit bearings, which I renewed some years after I got it. The depth of the cut is controlled by the wheel on the left, which raises and lowers the table. It is an extremely heavy unit. I used it until 2002 when I built a addition on my home and a large garage and I purchased a new table saw. I had to get a suction unit for the new saw and never needed it with this antique saw which does an excellent job of moving the saw dust into the collection box.
