I found this post drill on Craigslist. The seller said it had been at the farm where he grew up, and when the family sold the farm he took the drill and put it in his basement rec room, where it served as a resting spot for drinks, and a conversation starter.
It has a brazed repair where the table clamps to the column, and it's missing the crank handle. The spring for the feed advance lever was broken into 3 pieces, but I happened to have a suitable replacement in a junk box, so the advance works again.

(You may want a dose of Dramamine before watching it. I was spinning the flywheel with one hand while trying unsuccessfully to hold my phone steady with the other.)
