This drill press was my father's, purchased some time in the late 30s or 1940.
I have a mortising attachment and a shaper fence attachment and set of shaper blades. To use the shaper attachment, you are supposed to turn the DP/motor upside down and bring it up under the table. I made the mistake of trying to use it in the normal DP position, and almost took off a finger. The drill press is in excellent condition, and is serial number
3-6188 . There is no model number or other indication of date of manufacture on the press. There is an intact patent sticker on the side.
EDIT: {Sorry, I had initially identified this as an 11" drillpress, but it is the 14" model.}
