I found this lathe at an estate sale for $75.00. The seller was so happy to get rid of it that he threw in a set of 8 Craftsman turning tools. The variable speed pulley mechanism was supplied as pieces in a box. The good news was that all the pieces were there. It took a couple of tries to reassemble the speed control but it now works OK. There was some surface rust and a lot of pitch all over the lathe from turning green wood. I partially stripped and repainted with one of the the usual suspects, Rustoleum Smoke Grey. The paint is not nearly as glossy as the photos.
