Comments:
I purchased this machine for $700 in 1991 at the auction for a school desk manufacturing company in Mendenhall Mississippi. It was in decent condition mechanically, but had suffered through several really crude paint jobs. I completely disassembled it and carefully cleaned, masked, primed, and painted everything. I had the tables and cutterhead reground because they looked rough, but were not out of spec. I relocated the new ON-OFF controls above and behind the fence for better access.
It was in daily use in my Penland, NC shop for over 25 years following the rebuild and was absolutely reliable and precise. I used a Phasemaster rotary phase converter to supply power to the 5hp direct drive motor. When I retired in 2020, I sold the jointer to my neighbor and fellow furnituremaker.

12" wide bed; 3-knife cutterhead; custom dust chute is very efficient.
