I bought this machine from an OWWM member in 2015. He had aquired it at the Kindel Furniture auction in 2011. Kindel Furniture was located in Grand Rapids Michigan. It has a 1hp 3 phase Howell motor. I contacted the successor to that company and they said the motor left their factory in 1945. Because of the unique mounting arrangement I am confident its only application was this machine, hence the 1945 manufacture date. It was missing the idle roller which I had fabricated. The catalog lists the belt size as 6 x 78 but it tensions a 6 x 80 belt with room to spare. I am currently running it on a WEG VFD.
