This saw caught my eye at a garage sale and my curiosity got the better of wallet. I bought it ($10) mostly to look at and research.
It is a small, almost all cast iron tilt-top bench saw with a washing machine motor. The arbor is a standard 5/8. Almost all of the bolts and nuts are square-headed. The base is cast iron. All three knobs are cast iron with the number "5062" cast-in. The miter slot tracks are smaller than normal. I have not measured, but I would guess 1/2" x 1/4".
I brought it home thinking it was a good solid little saw. Then I tried to tilt the table and realized that the tilt-lock knobs slide in sheet-metal grooves bolted to both ends of the table. Any alignment of the table to the saw blade would be lost the minute that both handles are loosened. Maybe the tilt-capability was not meant to be used that often?
