This is a J.C. Penney's 4300 drill press which is a re-branded Delta Homecraft 11-100. I came across this one on Craigslist. The paint is in great shape and looks original. The original 1/3hp motor has been replaced with a 3/4hp Westinghouse, which is a nice upgrade. It is a fairly heavy machine with very little runout. It also has a 1/2" Supreme drill chuck Model H5733 which appears to be original as well. I did add a goose neck lamp that is not original equipment, but bolted right up like it was. I ended up adding an intermediate pulley (DP 260) to drop the lowest RPM from 725 to 275. It made a huge improvement with metal and hole saws.

Added a slow speed pulley and found a period correct motor. A Delta/Rockwell 1/2hp.

Also got the original band saw switch rod that was with the motor. Fabricated a bracket out of cherry that also functions as a chuck key holder.
