We use this machine about twice a month for around 6 hours a run. Its a Houston (Montoomery PA.<-- that's correct spelling) Moulder/Sticker machine made in the late 1800s. In the 30s the local lumber yard was hauling this to the dump but was spotted by a worker here and had it hauled to our shop. It has a 5 horse 3 phase motor with 4 cutting heads, we have a large selection of moulder knives for it but use it mainly to size up 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 x 13 1/8 oak cross pieces for Packsaddle trees. In the pics you can see its self feeding, flat belt, babbit bearings, adjustable (the table surface moves up and down, the side knives move in and out.) Overall length 10' with a 4' width footprint. In the pics I took off the guards and cages for a better view, and we ran a few pieces thru for "action photos". We call this machine the squirrel cage (cause of all the safety cages), it starts out slow "kanocka kanocka kanockakanockanaockanocaaaaaaaaa" TOO COOL TO PLAY WITH!!
