This small square casting with a thumbscrew in it was in amongst the several boxes full of miscellaneous stuff I acquired in the Great USGS Heist of '03. The recess in the casting is painted black and has the number "60-35" cast into it. As the paint doesn't match any of the machines I acquired, I had no clue what it was for. Then one evening during my eBay scan ritual I saw a listing for a rather crude reproduction Oliver 260D stop block. The form was quite similar to my mystery casting. Sure enough, I took it out of the box, found the matching bolt hole on the fence and voila, I now have an authentic Oliver stop block. Who knew?

The block measures 4" x 4" x 7/8"
