I found this in Los Altos, CA. The seller said he did not remember how he acquired it but he couldn't remember not having it. It is an early model Walker Turner Driver Line scroll saw noting the gusset plate stiffeners at the base and upper arm. The later designs had larger curved castings. Later models also had the screw arm head tension adjustment. The saw is in good shape excepting a cracked, but not broken, foot casting. I'm proceeding slowly with the restoration. I filled the crankcase with 30 W Valvoline non-detergent oil. It seems to vibrate a bit but I have it on a rickety stand. A solid base might help. At the moment it will only take a 4 1/2" blade if I attach blade at top of stroke like instructions say. I need to experiment with that more also.
