A well-preserved example of the Red Fox planer. It still carries much of the original red and gold paint on the cast maker's mark. The blades also have Red Fox logos etched on them. The planer also has the original decal on the shield. What is interesting is that the decal states "Manufactured by the A.V. Carroll Machine Tool Company, Station M, Cincinnati, O." From this it seems that Partington only marketed the machines and outsourced manufacturing.
This machine is currently coupled to an old Craftsman 1HP 1PH motor. The combo is quite heavy! The planer is mostly all cast iron including the fancy guards.
