This strange drill is a modification of a "large" hand drill. It was taken off the USS Los Angeles prior to sinking (obviously). My Dad, working for the Mothball Fleet and often relieved parts and pieces rather than allowing them a watery grave. The drill is geared very low with enormous torque, a metal drill to be sure. Just thought I would share the largest Black & Decker I've seen.
