This band saw has been in my grandfathers pattern shop since approx 1950. He had bought it used from a pattern shop he worked (Hammond Pattern Shop - Hammond, IN). It still works fine had has the same paint paint at least since 1950. It is powered by a Delco motor model #A5230,1.5hp,1ph. According to my grandfather he added the safety cage shortly after he purchased it.

After researching the OWWM site I believe this to be a 27" Famous by Sidney Tool Co. made bandsaw with the Lamson badge. Original color of the saw was black and the Lamson badge was highlighted with gold paint. Serial number is hand stamped on the outside edge of table top. Restoration currently in progress.
