Belt driven machine that was a "barn find" here in Houston, along with a 24" Planer, and a 12" Jointer, all mfg. by Crescent. The story for this machinery is that the original owner of the house, as a builder/cabinet maker and built many of the houses in the neighborhood prior to the mid 1940's. The building has a central shaft with many drive wheels that cannot be removed due to the shaft supports being part of the framework of the structure. There were, however, several smaller drive wheels and shafte that were floor mounted, and these were obtained at the same time. The entire system was powered by a single phase 3-horse power motor, (A. O. Smith, the mfg}. All the machines looked as if they were well used and well maintained and seemingly, all the parts are there.
