Sears Craftsman belt driven ball bearing industrial duty bench grinder.
Post-WWII vintage in medium gray with 'winged' Craftsman logo tag.
Dual sheave pulley--smaller diameter is used when grinding wheels are worn below 5" diameter.
Threaded arbor ends are ½"-20.
>>HISTORY<<
Purchased from a fellow OWWMer at ArnFest 2015.
No further history is known.
UPDATE 12/2/2016: Completed restoration.
Washed parts in Zep Purple cleaner.
Prime: Rustoleum gray.
Paint: Rustoleum 7784 Charcoal Gray.
New Nachi 6202 bearings with rubber seals.
Filed and polished shaft bearing surfaces (slightly oversize).
Replacement RH tool rest and badge are from my spare parts bin.
The other tool rests are from a similar configuration Walker-Turner built machine.
The earlier version of this grinder had 1" face wheels.
The tool rests on this version will only clear ¾" face wheels without modification.
