Previous owner bought at auction in the Pacific NW in early 80s. PO was in the timber industry, living in Yamhill, OR. The family was selling the house/land and asked if I'd be interested in an old table saw that probably needed a little TLC before it was functional. He didn't know the maker, just that it was big and heavy. He sent me a picture of the badge and I got to work researching Poitras. Not a lot of those on the west coast, but I tapped into a community of Canadians on OWWM.org that said these were wonderful saws, urging me to get it.

It took a forklift to load, and every bit of six men (and a case of beer) to ease it down from the trailer and into my garage.

Blade can be 12" or 14" with a 1" arbor.

Table still slides smoothly, but with some attention will be like new. Still need to figure out how to make a mitre fence for the slider... but I can't wait to put that thing to use.
