When the Pattern Shop (and Foundry) were closed in the late 1980s it was moved to the Maintenace Shop (formerly the Coppersmiths Shop). Sold to me 15th September 2015 (along with the bandsaw). The Maintenance Shop is due for demolition starting 18th September 2015.

Direct coupled to a 30" bandsaw. No wonder the rpm is so low!

1711 is the machine number allocated by the workshop. The card for this machine says it was new when installed in Feb. 1929.
