Comments:
I picked this drill press up from a buddy of mine in our antique club. After cleaning, I realized it had almost all of its original paint, and the bright metal only had minor surface rust, so I wire brushed it, and reassembled it. The board was original, but cracked the full length in the middle and was very brittle. I clamped and glued back the board together and decided to use boiled linseed oil on it to try to soften the wood somewhat. It is 125 year old old growth lumber and I wanted to save it from drying out and cracking even further. If the board had been in better shape I would have left it.

Comments: The Chuck is T.J. Almond from 1890 and predates the Jacobs feed Chuck. This one uses a spanner to tighten it.
