Won this grinder & pedestal at an auction. After finding out that the motor was 3 phase, I had to do some research to find out how to connect a 3 phase motor to a single phase (220 volt) power supply. I found that all I had to do was wire in a run capacitor across one of the motor windings. This is the smoothest running grinder I've ever seen. It takes over 5 minutes for the wheels to stop spinning after the power is shut off. I plan to rewire the machine, install new glass in the shields, and completely clean it up. It will probably get repainted in a few years.
