I Bought this sight-unseen via online auction. I had bought a larger item and was looking for anything else that might be worthwhile since I was going to be making a trip anyway. I saw a scroll saw that said "Atlas" on it for cheap and I grabbed it.
When I saw it in person it was smaller than I had realized, but looked like a good user. It was dirty, table was rusty, the upper tensioner was stuck fast with oil/sawdust gunk, and everything was so precariously bolted to a piece of wood that it was impossible to get belt tension. It took about 3 hours to get it cleaned up and running smoothly. Still haven't touched the mounting. I'll probably offload it and look for something bigger, so I might not bother. Luckily the motor was in superb condition. When I first tested it, it was so quiet that I actually had to touch the shaft to ensure that it was running.

As purchased. It's difficult to see, but the motor is positioned so that half of it is hanging off the back of the wood plank.

After some TLC. Unfortunately the machining lines in the table didn't show up in the photo. Attractive arcing pattern.
