Found this on Craigslist 1/2 hour from my house. Seller was John Perko, retired from Hamilton Standard where his job was the maintenance of all the shop machinery. He restores these now as a hobby. I bought it for $400 which I think is dirt cheap. Glad I have the collets because BC Ames collets were a custom size and thread. Most accurate lathe you could buy in 1942, beautifully made. No power feed and other modern amenities BUT for my first lathe I think it is perfect.
