I bought this from as estate in Worcester MA. These pics are as I got it. Original owner modified the sanding belt by manufacturing aluminum drums to replace the wooden ones. I think he built the entire machine. The aluminum shield is for the electric motor which is wide open. A gorgeous machine, if only I can figure out how to move the belt sander so it is vertical. Pd $50
