I acquired this scroll saw from Wm. Redmond & Sons in Atlanta, a major woodworking equipment dealer. It came complete with the flared leg stand and motor and was missing only a couple of knobs. It had been brush painted in magnificent yellow and green "school" colors. I disassembled, stripped and repainted. Runs like a sewing machine. The model # 40-211 is for the scroll saw, stand and motor as a package. The saw alone is a Model 1440. The complete unit sold for $179.20 in 1956. I got it for $100.
