This was one of my first restorations of OWWM. Had to do without the belt guard and the step pulley at the head because both were damaged beyond use. This photo was taken in 1976 and the operator is my son at age three. I started both boys at that age and there's never been an accident. They knew how to turn the machine on and adjust it for stock thickness and what they could and could not cut. Yes, I did a lot of blade changing, but I was always willing and never once fussed about blade breakage.
