THIS MACHINE IS NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK, AND NO I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE YOUR ITEM "X" FOR IT. THIS IS NOT A SALES FORUM AND I DO NOT HAVE MACHINERY FOR SALE HERE.
Paid $100.00 for this "Burgmaster Bench Model 6 Spindle Auto Indexing Turret Drill & Tap Machine" press in Clarence, NY, the press is originally a Gardena, CA native & manufactured there by: Burgmaster Corp. Small Tool Division, Burg tool Manufacturing Co., according to the data plate. Altho' not a traditional woodworking press, that is what I use it for in my space challenged shop. Makes drilling pilot holes, final holes and countersinks easier. Each chuck is a Jacobs capacity 0-1/4", THD 5/16 - 24, its original heigth adjustment was for small adjustments only, an adaptor to speed things up has been added to the top adjustment knob. The bottom plate is of oak and a bit more friendly than the original cast base or the extra aluminum adaptor plate. The motor is an original GE, 1/4 HP, 1725 RPM, all original paint. To see a film & some additional photos of the back gear box, (sorry, no sound), of the dp in action, click here: http://owwm.org/viewtopic.php?t=31460
