Purch'd for $60.00 in summer '04 from a tool rental shop in Tonawanda, NY, the press had approx twenty years of dirt, oil, metal shavings, on it and broken drill bits embedded in the tilting plate. Ser #1180512B, 1/2 HP, RPM 1725, Ser JY, stands approx 6' tall, 16" capability. Paint is original to me but I don't think it is factory(?), light used to work & the motor works just fine, if anyone out there has model #, date of manufature info I'd like to know, email me. I've done some searching for parts and a breakdown of how things go together for this dp and the closest parts schematic I can locate as of 8.16.06, is at www.acetoolrepair.com of Vancouver, BC, Canada. You will have to go to their Beaver pages, clik on drill presses and a list will pop up for a variety of Beaver (now Delta) presses, clik on any of the references for DP-4. This is as close as I can get, without more info.
