A trip to Fazzio's Metal in Glassboro, NJ yielded the top half (and tracking end) of a much-sought-after belt grinder. I've been looking for a reasonably priced Baldor or Burr-King and have always been too late. This unit has a 3" wide top wheel and set me back $9.

This end of the grinder rides on a 1-1/4" post and has 2 locking knobs to secure it into position. If anyone has information on parts for 3"-wide version of this machine, I'd appreciate some leads. The part numbers stamped into the head pieces are AB-3515 and AB-3514. dpotts77 *AT* yahoo *DOT* com.

Hammond still sells a similar model... Universal Abrasive Belt Grinder UBG-625 for $1980.
