This is the latest model and the last one of the POITRAS planer it replace the model 6600 and then the cie. was sold to GENERAL MFG. in 1984.It weight 600 pounds without motor
I bought it from a retired farmer who set a complete woodshop for himself just because he want to get something to do;after working all your life 12 to 16 hours a day you can't sit and do nothing he say's,so he build one shed for himself than one for his son and so on until he quit after doing his 88th shed in 1997.Victim of a severe heart attack he wait for 5 years before selling it to me, he show me the bill 4,234$ for the planer+875$ for the 5hp/220 motor and switch. The poor old men cry when i put the planer in the pick-up
i suppose i'll do the same one day....I've paid 2,000$cdn for an almost new machine with spare set of knife(brand new)in fact he tell me that he never even sharpened the one on the planer because he use just new wood like spruce or pine and he don't do much planning
I've got the part list and the instruction manuel to.
