Comments:
The Atlas Workshop Tools appears to be aimed directly at the Delta Homecraft line.
This gem was aquired from a fellow OWWMer. It made the journey (packed disassembled) from the old West back to Michigan. I reassembled the machine and it is in the clean-up queue. This machine is in excellent condition, with only minor corrosion on the cast iron table top. The stout frame is cast iron. The covers are stamped steel. There is an open area on the bottom of the lower cover for dust extraction. The tires appear to be in excellent condition and the wheels are cast aluminum.
Other Specs:
Throat: 10"
Max depth of cut: 5.5"
Table size: 10" x 10", tilts up to 45° right
Blade sizes: 1/8"-3/8" width x 70½" overall length
Blade guides: 4 Oilite bronze on the sides, 2 hardened steel back-up rollers
Wheel bearings: bronze
V-Belt pulleys: machine-5.0", motor-2.5"
1954 list price: $49.15
Earlier I submitted a copy of the owner's manual/parts list, obtained from the Clausing Service Center. It is posted here: http://www.vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=929
UPDATE-3/17/2012: sold this saw to a fellow OWWMer.
