This machine was listed on eBay by Kevin Lieberman, eBay seller Interschola, in November of 2003. (Mr. Lieberman graciously permitted the use of his auction images on this web site.) The seller added the following description:

Max Forsberg 16 by 6 Planer, Model MF-16, Ser MF-16-16. The 4x4's bolted into the Planer allow fork lift to raise or move unit.

The Max Forsberg brand on this planer is the first evidence documented on owwm.com of an apparent combination of the Forsberg planer business of Santa Clara, California with the Max Manufacturing Company of San Jose, California.
