I ran across a Craigslist ad for a JA Fay & Egan 506 Lightning 16" Jointer a few years ago. My first vintage tool was a 30" JA Fay & Egan 155 band saw. So I had the bug to acquire a shop full of JA Fay & Egan tools. Once I got there (Jasper, TN) I found out the owner also wanted to sell their late Fathers entire wood working shop. This Hall & Brown No. 33 was part of the collection. While in dire need of a restoration, there appears to be more than enough to work with. Besides, the machine ran as is! It has been a few years in getting everything transported the 300 or so miles to home. And now the work begins!
