This machine is clearly a Crescent band saw but as has been seen before, the Crescent name was ground off of the machine and it was re-badged as being manufactured by Silver Mfg. Co. Silver was located in Salem OH, literally just down the road from Crescent in Leetonia. It has been documented that Crescent sold many band saws to Silver during Crescent's early years (from 1897 to at least when this one was made around 1905-1908 gussing). Not currentely known when Silver began manufacturing their own band saws but ads have been seen of their own design from at least as early as 1915.

This machine also had a dealer tag stating that it was by American Machinery Company, Atlanta, Georgia.
