This is Delta's classic 6" jointer. It was previously owned by the Eureka California School District until I purchased it during March 2001 at an auction of surplus school equipment. The machine and stand are 100% original including the paint. The machine, stand and motor were all disassembled for servicing, cleaning and polishing and then re-assembled. The original paint was cleaned with automobile polishing compound and then waxed. The machine has a 42 1/2" bed and a 36" fence. It is powered by a Rockwell model 62-680 1/2 horsepower 9.6 amp motor. The machine's serial number is DI 6245 and Delta confirms the date of manufacture as May 1965. During 2002 I purchased a basket case 12" jointer [see unknown jointer in this index] and this 6" Delta jointer was given to my older son.
