Although not signed - I have seen advertizing which identifies this grinder and pedestal as manufactured
by the American Twist Drill Co of RI and later NH. The fluted column was a hallmark of their designs
and was used on a number of different grinder models. The pedestal and grinder are not an original
pairing. The grinder came out of a snuff mill in Byfield MA and the pedestal was found separately at
a flea market - both in the 1990s.
