I bought a house built in 1927 therefore a saw was necessary. My mother and father built their house using mostly a craftsman radial arm saw so my dad was loyal to them. After he retired, my dad ended up picking up and restoring a vintage DeWalt saw. He enjoyed it so much he tracked down this DeWalt 925 model to receive the same treatment. I think he may have traveled as far as Ohio to pick it up. Cancer put a stop to that though. So when I bought my house I inherited the unrestored saw. Mostly it just sat around unused for the last two years while I managed with a circular saw. I didn't even fire it up until about a week ago. The motor bearings sounded like they could be replaced and the roller head moved sluggishly. Now the saw is in 50 pieces on my work bench as I attempt to restore it. So far so good! My mom said my dad would have been happy to hear of my decision.
