This machine was purchased from 360 Degree Machinery via CraigsList. I cannot say enough positive about my experience with these guys.
Thanks to Butch for helping me snag this awesome machine, and to John, Joe, Dan, Brad and Nick for helping with the unloading.
I was told that this machine was part of a group that came out of a shop in Indiana, where it appeared that it had spent its entire life. It appears to have been pretty well-maintained--at least mechanically--seemingly remaining intact, with one repaired part, and a missing pulley.
No model number, nor serial number to be found, so far.
Note the similarities to the Redin Ekstrom edge sander that I posted previously: http://vintagemachinery.org/photoindex/detail.aspx?id=19223.
Note also both the similarities and differences when compared to its successor, the Ekstrom Carlson 112.
A very early and interesting machine.
