JUST PICKED THIS UP: Albertson Sioux grinder in WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WISC. This seems to be a new grinder variation, only on the finish around the motor...it is not represented. PO said he picked it up from an estate of a retired automotive worker in same town. The gentleman who first owned this machine; I guess is famous in the town?? What is very interesting is the pedestal the grinder sits on. Beautifully made, and very heavy cast iron base with a water trough. Grinder is adapted to fit on top of water trough very well. On side of pedestal tray is a brass Manufacture plate: (WEISLEY & VILTER Mfg. Co. Milwaukee WI.) I am submitting a picture of the brass manu. plate in this posting. Very interesting..if anyone can identify this manufacturer, and or knows anything of this manufacturer, please feel free to contact me on the mysterious name plate. Grinder is very strong and another plate states that this machine will never need oil. It is very quiet and strong to say the least. Also came with an excellent and pretty rare EDON work light.

Weisel and Vilter is a manufacturing company of steam engines in the early days of milwaukee...1860's.. The company made machine steam engines that helped the early beer brewers of milwaukee. Pretty cool...still do not know what this pedestal is for, could be for grinders???
