Powers Delta Homecraft 46-111 wood lathe. Quit running in the middle of a project. Cord completely deteriorated inside of housing, bearings failing, capacitor cracked and swollen. This is a somewhat strange motor. It was painted Delta gray and black but the paint job was very sloppy and looked as if done by brush. The original main body was a much lighter gray as seen on the underside of the motor. And the end castings were originally painted green. The Delta motor tag says manufactured by A. O. Smith and lists red, black, and white, wires to reverse rotation. All the wires inside the housing are yellow with the exception of a green one connected to the thermal reset button. I wonder if this was a "Hey they need this in a hurry." "Throw something together and get it out the door." job. New bearings, new capacitor, repainted in original colors.
