I just finished refurbishing this grinder for one of my coworkers; it had been used here at my work for at least the past forty years, and was taken out of service due to the left hand guard being broken in half for the third time ( the grinder had eight rivets,two brazed sections and one mending plate). It was either going to be fixed or scrapped, and I wouldn't allow the latter, so I stripped all the fasteners and brass from the guard, welded it back together, repainted it, fitted new bearings and cord and replaced the long absent tool rests with current production ones from a Porter Cable bench grinder.
