This GE RI Motor was given to me in a disassembled state. I overhauled it completely, cleaning the armature, blowing out the interior, and sanding down the exterior. I then rebuilt it. I test ran it and it fired up immediately. A very heavy motor for 1 horse power. There are no bearings the shaft runs on bushes.
Motor Details as follows: Model 5SCR 204 C17 Frame : 204 Cycles 50 Single Phase. Speed 1450 rpm Volts 110 Amps 14.2 Volts 220 Amps 7.1 Serial No. JM 1268
Made in Schenecktady NY . USA.
