Bought it in saint john was originally bought by Mcavity & son maker of valves and plumbing toolsin business 1863 to 1960. I am not sure if it was originally a bench top or had legs as there are holes for bot options. Has an early cushman chuck pat 1884 dec 16 the hartford no.2 and is the only machine that i have seen with h. w. petrie montreal tag.
